Well, I hadn't planned on posting today, but what a perfect "opportunity" with a hail storm last nite. ( Note: sarcasm). It has been 100+ here for the last few days. The forecast was for spotty rain. HUH! We got 2 inches of rain and 5-7 minutes of penny to quarter size hail. I am hoping we won't need a new roof again. We have had 2 new roofs in 15 years due to hail, the last being in 2008. Here's some pictures.
It looks like a leaf bomb went off in the yard.
Notice the garden hose and sprinkler. I watered for about 1/2 day yesterday, because I didn't think we were going to get any rain. Kinda like washing your car. It WILL rain then.
Broken but blooming!
Even the hostas, under a thick canopy of trees, had hail damage.
Oh well, so far nothing that won't bounce back!

Hail can do so much damage. In the fall, a storm came in and broke a coup0le of our windows and put holdes in our vinyl fence. Eeek! Hopefully, the plants will recover soon. Joni
I think that is crazy weather for July! Hail? I don't know, but I am glad ihings are OK. xo
Hail in July??? How bizarre. That's an amaing amount of damage. Thankfully it will all bounce back.

We've had some damage too but your hostas look like they took the brunt of the storm. We had a tree branch miss my car by about 8 inches.
Feel your pain..a couple of years ago I called my husband at work and told him we were having a bad hail storm and I went into the basement for safty..He laughed!
But when he came home, the whole back of our two story house had dozens of holes in the siding. He stared in amazement. What a mess storms make!

mmm... so sad to see the damage. We had small hail once this year but the canopy has gotten lush enough that there was only very minor damage... this was only the 2nd hail storm in 40 years for us so I guess I should feel very good about that... (and I do) Larry
The weather seems crazy everywhere this year! sorry about the damage, but looks like everything will happily recover...Thanks for sharing over here at Cottage Flora Thursday's! xoox, tracie
