What's blooming today......

"School's out for summer!!!!" Cue Alice Cooper... I played this every hour for my high school students... My first day off and I am still up at 5:30 am, me and the dogs out roaming the yard with the camera.

Beverly Sills

I used to have so many varieties of iris, but the last couple of years iris borers have decimated them. Does anyone have a good cure for them?

The hummingbirds are attracted to these coral bells and I can sit on the porch and watch them 3 feet away.

We are having a cold spring here and things are a little slow, but it is GREEN, and I need green!

Your garden looks so pretty! I had lots of coral bells when we lived at our last house. We moved last summer and I'm still trying to figure things out here. :)

Oh my, those Iris are beautiful aren't they. Have to say I'm a bit partial to them and am trying to increase my varieties this year. I have never heard of the problem you speak of though so sadly cannot help you there but I do hope you find a solution.

I am so happy to see you are posting again, Pat. I think of you every time I go to the Savers near you!
Your iris are beautiful. Mine need to be thinned out this year. I am enjoying our cool spring, just wish there were fewer scary storms in our part of the country.

5:30 a.m. is without a doubt the very best time to shoot photos of the gardens... I'm out there doing just that most every day! Your iris are spectacular! Larry

School is out for me, too, and I wake up early each morning. It's a good thing as there is a lot to catch up on here. It was snowing once a week throughout March AND April. I told my principal that if it snowed on the last day of school, I was not coming! Your iris are such beautiful colors. I haven't even been out back to look at mine. Life has been too hectic. Let's take time to enjoy every minute.♥♫

Your garden is pretty. I love your sunroom; what a great place to relax and look out onto the garden. Your iris are lovely, Pat. I have 'Beverly Sills' too - pretty color. Glad I came to visit and I'll be exploring your blog a bit more. Seems we have a lot in common i.e. gardening and travel.
