Four Tablescapes in One

As I was doing this scape, I could not decide what  plates to use. Ha! Listen to me, two years ago I would have only one choice. I am proud to say though, that all the other plates are GW or very inexpensive. And that is half the fun, isn't it? Thrill of the hunt? And taking something inexpensive and trying to make it look good with creativity.

SO, here are four different place settings.

Which one is your favorite? I like the Christmas tree the best.

Ok, I should be wrapping presents, but I put it off until last, because I so dislike  wrapping.

What great plates, even better is how you acquired them! I am going to hone up my thrifting skills in 2012- ;) Merry Christmas. xo

The Christmas tree is my favorite also. I have a few pieces of the same pattern, but the dishes are a different shape... I think they are Nikko and the pattern is Christmastime.

You have really great plates, but my fav is the cardinal. It really pops against your beautiful charger and tablecloth. :-) Your post is really beautiful. Merry Christmas!

Oh, I wish I'd been there to "play dishes" with you! What fun to try all your different combos! I agree -- the tree plate on the red dish is my favorite. I really love it on the rustic charger.

With the beautiful red plaid tablecloth, it's a toss up between the Christmas tree and the cardinal for me. I have the "Gold Leaves" pattern, and I love it. The green Currier & Ives plates are some that I would LIKE to have & remember well from my childhood on my Grandmother's table. They're all great patterns! This is why it's great to have choices!!! :-) Merry Christmas, and I hope the gift wrapping wasn't too painful!

Gosh, they're all pretty, but if pressed, I'd have to chose the first one..the tree one. I do like the second one too. NO...it's the first. Thanks for doing all those place settings. Great inspiration.

I agree, I like the Christmas tree the best. I smiled when I saw the green plate/platter. It is very similar to the dishes my mom had when I was a young child. ;-)

They all look great with the tartan tablecloth, but I think my favorite is the...cardinal!
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Pat.

Your dishes are all so pretty ~ I wouldn't know which one to use either. Blogging has a way of making you buy lots of dishes you don't really need:)
