Quail Under Glass
This little quail found himself under this glass thingie that I picked up a goodwill. Not sure it is a cloche, because it has a hole in the top. But it has a cute little handle (?) and it fit a odd little pedestal I had. I just painted it ORB to go with the top half. This is last year's bittersweet, as I could not find any this year. It has been so dry here all summer and still now.

I have problems with photography under glass too. I solve that by avoiding it :).
He is darling. The glass is an issue I usually get at an angle and play around with it and take a squillion shots. I do know one thing I like oil paintings better than anything with glass.

What a sweet little quail. I think you did a wonderful job of capturing him in your photos.
Your cloche is unique and creative. Love the little quail. My daddy loved to quail hunt and that was in the fall! Your bittersweet help up nicely. I was hoping it was faux and you could tell us where you bought it. I would like some that is pretty. We can't buy bittersweet where I live. Too hot I guess.

I love this! It fits perfectly & I can't believe how well the colors fit together.
I don't know if it's a cloch or what it is. One reason I love cloches so much is there is less to dust. I would find something to fit over the hole to seal it so you don't have to dust the inside as well as the outside. The quail looks great in it & you found the perfect spot to display it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog -- I had fun looking back through yours. Your hybridized cloche is really pretty. I don't have one. I guess I should though so I can participate in this party next year. I liked your pumpkins, too, in the previous post.
Re your question about the "imperfect" dishes -- I couldn't see anything wrong with them. On the rim on one there is a tiny place that looks like a pin hole, but you have to look to see it.
